Bahamas

I love to travel.  I love to see the world.  But since we got married, and especially since we bought a house and now have a mortgage, traveling has diminished greatly. Plus, with a little one on the way we realized that big trips around the world probably wouldn't be happening for awhile.  So.....we decided to take one last big trip before baby comes. 

We wanted to go somewhere tropical, but have both been to Hawaii several times and wanted to try somewhere new.  We looked to the Caribbean and decided on the Bahamas.  We rented a condo in Freeport, Grand Bahama and relaxed as much as possible.

I'm Gonna Be a Mommy!!

I bet many of you never thought this day would come.....frankly I never thought it would come.  Mostly because I don't really like kids that much and have grown quite accustomed to my freedom.  But...I'm not getting any younger and the time felt right.

I was pregnant for a good 10 weeks before we told anyone, so it was hard not to spill the beans at certain times, but also fun to have our own little secret. 

My mom's birthday was June 8, so a little onesie saying, "I wear pink for my Grandma" was our gift to her and our way of telling the family we were pregnant. 

That night we had Kyle's parents come over to give his dad his birthday gift which was the next day.  His was a onesie that said, "Grandpa's little fishing buddy,"  because we couldn't find one that said golf buddy. 

So as of right now, 20 June 2012, I am 12 weeks along and due January 1, 2013.  I have not been nauseous one bit or even felt like throwing up.  During week 5 & 6 I was extremely tired and I tend to take a lot more naps these days, but I have the summer off of school so I have all the time I want to take naps.

Amazing Race Santa Monica

Two years ago my mom signed us all up for The Amazing Race-Los Angeles.  It is a knock off of the TV show, that was put together by two guys.  It took us from Hollywood to downtown LA and back, with puzzles, riddles, and clues to figure out.  When we did the race back in 2010 we came in 2nd Place and were devastated.  My family is very competitive and 2nd place just wasn't good enough.  Especially since we lost the lead at the very end and let a group of tweens pass us.

This year for a Mother's Day gift we decided to try our hand at the

 Amazing Race-Santa Monica

 This time we were determined to succeed and take 1st Place, which we did!!

Zeke was even part of the team and was amazing the whole time.  Didn't get fussy once during the entire 3 hour race, which took place during his nap time.

Playing Catch Up

So I haven't been very good about updating my blog lately.  I don't go on for a few months and they go and change the whole set-up and feel of it. 

So...anyways, here are a few pictures of what I/we have been up to the past little bit.
